The Lamp consists of a maintenance-free re-chargeable Lithium-ion Battery of 3.6 volts, 4.5 Ah capacity housed into a Battery container having molded-in belt-loops. The main terminals are suitably protected by a molded Top-cover & Battery-Gasket with special locking arrangements.

The main terminals are suitably protected by a molded Top-cover & Battery-Gasket with special locking arrangements. The Top-cover is assembled with a flexible cable at one end and the other end of the cable is housed into a compact Head-piece unit provided with a Cap-hook, a Rotary switch, a highly polished deep parabolic metal Reflector fitted with power LED of 1 watt, 3.6 volts, 110 lumens of which the basic life is 50,000 hours, which is finally protected with a Glass-disc sealed by a suitable Lense-ring & locked with a special pin to avoid unauthorized tampering. The Cap Light unit is rechargeable from any conventional type of Charging-racks or by single point Charger unit through its Head-piece unit by the conventional system. The rated voltage of the charger to be maintained within 4 volts preferably. The total weight of the Cap Light unit is within 460 gms ( approx ) Finally the Cap Light is designed to meet all the required facilities for self-service operation.
LIGHT SOURCE: Power LED is used as the light source. It is 3.6 volts, 1 watt, of which light output is 110 lumens (max.) & life is around 50,000 hours (approx) at 12 hours daily use. Operation through Rotary Switch for a high-intensity model of light as well as for the low-intensity mode of light.
BATTERY: The Battery is a Lithium-ion type of 3.6 volts having 4.5 Ah capacity with built-in protection for deep-discharge, over-charge & short-circuit. The Battery container is made of polypropylene with molded-in Belt-loops. The weight of the Battery is 100 gms. & the rated life of the Battery is more than 1000 cycles. The base of the container measuring 47 mm. X 35 mm. X-height 11.6 mm.
TOP – COVER: Moulded polypropylene body having rigid arrangements for the anchorage of cable-end as well as for fixing the Lock clamps with special screws for holding & clamping the Battery container unit firmly in its proper position along with Battery-Gasket.
HEADPIECE: A compact molded polypropylene body having provision for cable entry and its anchorage, which is fitted with electrical contacts, Lense-ring, highly polished deep parabolic metal Reflector fitted with power LED of 1 watt, 110 lumens, 3.6 volts with Gasket, Glass-disc, Rotary Switch, metal Cap-hook for clamping with helmet & a suitable locking device. Conventional provision of adjustable charging contacts is deployed in it for adaptability with conventional type of Cap Light charging Racks or any similar type single point charger unit also.
CABLE: Flexible, especially armored, vulcanized rubber insulated twin core copper Cable (DGMS approved) of length 1.2 meters. to 1.5 meters. in total is connected and anchored directly with Head-piece
at one end and the other end is connected to the Battery output terminals having anchored with the Top- cover.
PERFORMANCE: With proper and nice care in use the Lamp can give service for more than 48 hours ( approx. ) continuously at high-intensity mode with a light output of more than 3000 - 5000 Lux in full-charged condition.
